Hello david
Thanx for the info I am requesting the link for a usa green card I
was married on dec 3 2004
xxxxxxxx

david ingram replies:
Since you have married and are living in Canada, you must complete
your paperwork in Montreal.
If you had remained in the US after being married there, you could
have had the paperwork processed in LA or San Francisco but would not
have even able to work while there and could not come back to Canada
without going through more formality in the form of an advance parole.
The forms I am listing here are the ones you will generally need:
G-14 - this form is requested if they can't find your file or need
additional information. It is usually filed after you have made an
interim inquiry. It does NOT go with your original package but you
should look at it to make sure everything asked for on this form is
included with your original paperwork.
http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/files/g-14.pdf
I-130 - This form is the actual petition your wife will file to
bring/take you to the USA - The fee is now $190.00
                    http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-130.htm
G-325 - This form is a biographic form and can be filled and saved at
this site.
                    http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/g-325.htm
G-325A - this is another biographic form that may be asked for but is
not submitted with the original paperwork - you would usually submit
with your I-485
http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/files/g-325a.pdf
G-325B and 325C
not likely to be asked for
I-485 - Application to Register Permanent Status
I-693 - Medical Examination
http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-693.htm
I-864 - Affidavit of Support Your wife will have to prove an income of
about $16,000 for the past three years and submit US 1040 Income tax
returns to prove it. If she does not have enough income, assets can
used to qualify. And if she does not have enough assets someone else
may be used. Remember that this affidavit agrees to support you until
you have worked in the USA for 10 years. To end the agreement, you
must have 40 quarters of employment.
http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-864.htm
Note that you can print one large file of the forms needed at this
site.
I-864A - Agreement of support between sponsor and other household
member
http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/I-864A.htm
I also want to point out that your wife would have received a larger
refund if she had filed a joint tax return last year if her income is
over $15,000 or so At $30,000 income, her refund would have been
about $1700.00.
Hope this helps - I would be pleased to help with the tax return and
some of the paperwork,
