QUESTION:

What must a US citizen do to be able to move to Canada and work there?
British Columbia to be exact.

david ingram replies:

1. You could apply for a job in British Columbia and get your potential employer to sponsor you.

2. You could become an investor and come to Canada - Need about $500,000 US for this.

3. You could marry a Canadian and have them, sponsor you.

4. You could fill out the questionnaire at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/assess/index.html
This is the self-assessment test for an individual to determine his or her eligibility to immigrate to Canada without being sponsored by a spouse.

If you get 67 or more, you qualify to immigrate to Canada on your own.

Go to:
http://www.cic.gc.ca

And look around the government site. It is full of good infromation about immigrating to Canada.
