Shortly after 11 a.m. GMT today, the UK Treasury announced an immediate
freezing of the assets of AL-AQSA FOUNDATION in the UK as a result of the
adding of the organisation to the UN list of terrorist organisations.
All countries which are bound by the UN requirement to put in place similar
measures will make similar orders within a short time, affecting financial
institutions in many countries.
