Ross McDonald from Lighthouse Realty and CEN-TA Tax services in
Abbotsford has corrected me on this.
And of course, one of my previous answers confirms the
deductibility of the BC Property Purchase Tax.
Deduct the BC Property Purchase Tax.
Was too tired last night (and this morning)\r
  Thanks Ross and John

Hi David,
Re the Property Transfer Tax question:
The way I read Line 15 is that the GST/HST is not deductible and
any portion of the annual Property Taxes are not deductible, but
that taxes levied in respect of the transfer or registration of
title would be included on line 15 as an allowable expense and
that the BC PTT would fall into this category. Have you had a
case where it has be specifically disallowed?
Ross

David
Is the BC property purchase tax deductible as a moving expense
when filing income tax return?
I moved 400 km to a new job in Vancouver from Vernon, B. C. in
2003.
Please advise.

david ingram replies:
No - it is excluded on line 15 of form T1M that allows taxes on
title registration, etc., but specifically excludes GST/HST
The HST is the provincial sales tax part of the HST (Harmonized
Sales tax).
