If you have a University degree in engineering or architecture or =
another 60 occupational groups which you can find at www.centa.com =
[Entering the US], you could be working in the USA in 24 hours with the =
right job offer under Treaty NAFTA on a TN visa.
If not, there are no new H1 visa applications being accepted until =
April, 2004 and none will be issued until October.
If you were already working in a management or supervisory capacity in =
Canada for a US Associated company, they could transfer you to the US =
under the terms of an L1 visa.
Otherwise you are out of luck. Your lady could sponsor you down under a =
F1 fianc=E9e visa but that will take several months and you would have =
to be married within 90 days of going to the USA.
At the moment a Green card will take 14 years without an H1 or L1 or F1 =
visa first.
In short, if you want to go to the US and work, better propose.
Answers to this and other similar questions can be obtained free on Air =
every Sunday morning.
Starting this Sunday at 9:00 AM on 600AM in Vancouver, Fred Snyder of =
Cartier Partners and I will be hosting an INFOMERCIAL but LIVE talk show =
called "ITS YOUR MONEY"
Those outside of the Lower Mainland will be able to listen on the =
internet at
