My question is: Canadian-specific
QUESTION: I starting working for the Alberta Dept, of Education in 1984 as a casual Custodion they seem to have lost record of two years of casual work . Is there anyway of getting a copy of my T4 slip from any government records and where or who can obtain this. Thank you ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

1984 may be out but I can almost guarantee that if you go to the CRA counter at Suite 10-9700 Jasper Avenue, they can give you an extract of all your T4-slip information back to 1985 and 1984 is likley.
We request and "get" this information on a regular basis when we are catching up returns for US citizens living in Canada.
A REMINDER here to "All" you US citizens who have not been filing your US returns. ALL US CITIZENS IN CANADA HAVE TO FILE A US RETURN whether you have US income or not. The CEN-TA Group can catrch these up for you no matter where you live.
