Hi I am trying to obtain a social insurance number for my nephew so he can go to work.I was wondering if it costs anything the first time and if I could fill out a form online and get one for him.Please let me know at xx@ xxx.com

There is no charge for a SIN (Social Insurance Number).
Go to your nearest Employment Insurance Office amd get the application there.
I do not know where you live but you can find a phone number in the blue pages
of your phone book. Likely, your nephew should just go himself.
On the off chance that you might live on the North Shore or find it convenient, there
is an office at the corner of 11th and Lonsdale in North Vancouver,
