Hi David
Love reading the articles and thanks for all the info. My question is about GST.
I have a hobby business that buys and assemble's electronic
components. I sell the assemblies to a company that puts their components on the assembly and they then sell to another manufacture who does their stuff to the assemblies. I pay GST for my parts but do not charge GST when I sell them (I sell less then $30000/yr, and have not registered).
I can bury the GST in the unit price but that bumps my price up 7%. Is there a way I can claim the GST I paid out without having to register a GST number?
Thank you

The simple answer is NO.
You are penalizing "yourself" by not being registered. On top of that, by burying the GST in your cost, you have increased the price exponentially all down the line.
You should register and claim your input credits back.
