My name is EXXXXXX XXXXXXX, canadian citizen and resident of Toronto, ontario. In 1998 I been denied acess to the united states
.
The cause for denial was that I was travelling with a freind of mine which carried his brother passport and I didnot know it.
the only time I realise that he carried wrong Identification is right at USA/CANADA border.
I was really peaced off at my freind for not telling me the truth. finally, us immigration confisticated my car and charged me for smuggling. My lawyer told me in the future for me to enter to the united States he said I need a special permission.
By profession I am A computer Engineer and gets a lot of job offer from united states. Now I donot know what to do? please, I need your advice desperately.

Although I would love to help you, dealing with someone in Toronto makes far more sense.
You definitely need a waiver to erase or override your ER (expedited Removal) and charges.

Pardons Canada has an office in Toronto at
Pardons Canada
41 St Clair Avenue West, suite 901
Toronto, Ontario
M4V 1K9
(416) 929-6011 Fax (416) 929-3651
They have US waiver information at:
http://www.pardons.org/content.phtml?page=08
I have never dealt with them but they must be a good orgainzation because I have never had a complaint about them either
Let me know how it works out.
Anyone else out there, if you have had any border problems or have the smallest criminal record in Canada (except for drunk driving) you likely need a US waiver. Taking the chance of going south with a Canadian record is silly.
For instance, you could have made it through with your spouse and three kids and be involved in a traffic accident in Minneaplois or Albany or Tacoma and end up under arrest in the and have your car seized because it was what was usd to transport you through the border.
