  Dear Mr Ingram,
My wife and I have been working in the states for
approximately 6 years. I have held a H1B visa while
her visa status was a J1. We are now moving back to
Canada in a few months. I would like to know if any of
the social security taxes we paid in the US are
reimbursible. Thank you for your time.

david ingram replies:
None of the premiums you paid are refundable. However, when you
retire, you can add some of your CPP credits to the FICA and will get
a pension from the US.
Just remember that it is there.
We will be glad to look after your leaving US / Entering Canada
returns when you come back. Do NOT get one person to do the US and
someone else to do Canada. They will both be wrong. The same person
should do them both. We can look after you by fax, courier, email or
snail mail.
