Hello David,
I'm a Canadian working in the US under an H1-B with my wife who does not work.
What do you charge to do the following 2 items:
1) US tax return (and Canadian if needed) for 2003-2004 where the main events were salary, 401k, first time home purchase, and cashing out of RRSP from wife who does not earn income
- I was able to handle previous year's tax filings, but am not sure what to do with the full cashing out of RRSP and whether I can file Can tax to get back the 25% Can tax withholding on the RRSP or should just file US tax and claim foreign tax credit?
2) Advice on tax implication for investments to fund child education at Canadian University (e.g. 529 plan) if returning to Canada by the time fund will used for University.

You are likely in the $700 to $1,200 Canadian range for the two years and an hour's consultation and some follow up as it happens. More likely $1,000 than $700.00
You cannot file to get the 25% back - that is the withholding tax to Canada when the money is taken out as a non-resident. The US is the hard part.
