QUESTION:
My partner and I have often joked that we need to move to Canada. Given
circumstances in the U.S. we have begun to seriously consider moving with
our three year old twins to Canada.
We are curious about discovering the major issues to consider when making
such a choice.

You can immigrate to Canada as a gay couple. One of you will have to qualify to immigrate and sponsor the other as a spouse.
You can see the kind of paper work you need here. It would be better if one of you had a job offer in Canada.

It could be that you could both qualify individually which would be easier as well.
