Importing a car from the USA - Sent by someone who

Hi David,
I saw a message from someone trying to import a car from US. I think
that anyone trying to import a car from US to Canada should take a
look at
  http://www.tc.gc.ca/pacific/faq/road/importation.htm
  http://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html
The list of vehicles admissible to Canada is found at
  http://www.riv.ca/english/TC_admis_list_nov03_Eng.PDF
You might want to tell him that even an admissible car is required to
go through the federal and provincial inspections and is likely
required to be modified to conform to the federal and provincial vehicle
standards. The price gap of a car between US and Canada can be easily
exceeded by the costs for federal and provincial inspections,
necessary modifications to the car for satisfying the standards, and
the import duties and the time one needs to spend for the whole
process.
Best,
