david ingram replies:
There is nothing stopping you from "owning" a franchise or shares in the Bank of America or Chase Manhattan or General Electric.
However, you may only work for or within a US organization for which you have a Visa.
You may have a dozen TN visas and work for a dozen companies two days a month if you qualify
for the visas. However, you can NOT have a TN for a company that you own or control.
Depending upon your investment, you could give up your present TN and job and get an E2 visa for the franchise.
find out more about the E2 visa by going to www.centa.com and reading the January 1995 newsletter.
