Permanent Residency questions... Ask cross-border

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen: I am an American citizen who recently became a
permanent resident of Canada. I live and work in Canada,and have a question.
My wife is a Canadian citizen, and sponsored me into Canada. We are thinking
of buying a house in the future. As a permanent resident of Canada,do I have
the right to buy and own property in Canada? If not,do I have to become a
Canadian citizen in order to buy a house? Will my wife have to buy the house

You still have to prepare a US return while here even if you have no US
income.
